The Bay Tree Experience
If you have never had ' The Baytree experience',
let me describe it to you….
You enter through the shop and pass down a jewellery-lined passage
to get to the eating area.
The restaurant is Bridgestone Guide and Egon Ronay
recommended, and serves quality food with fresh ingredients and
an individual touch. I (sue) do the cooking and I'm usually there!
People have always loved our soups and salads, but other favourites
include Smoked Fish Chowder, Bacon & Mushroom Croustade, and
Pan-fried Haddock Fillets with Parsley Butter and Mash. Most famous
of all are the aforementioned Cinnamon Scones, which are homemade,
delicious and unforgettable! (click on Eating for sample menus).
Having topped up your blood sugar levels, please make time for a
look round the shop. It's a small space, but we have a huge selection
of Nicholas Mosse and Stephen Pearce pottery (other Irish potters
too). Our jewellery ranges in price and taste from the classic,
simple and sometimes expensive, to the wacky, colourful and also
sometimes, but not always expensive! We try to keep our stock constantly
exciting and developing .(click on Shopping for more details).
The Gallery upstairs is dedicated to watercolours, prints, designer
jewellery and ceramics, and occasionally other media. Exhibitions
change on a monthly basis, and we have a mailing list, or you can
consult this website.
