ERIKA MARKS
Entirely handmade in 24ct gold + silver, the collection includes every sign of the zodiac - the one illustrated is Libra. Every sign has a constellation it was named after. The oval shape is how the night sky appears to the viewer, and the arc of the torc is like the orbit of a planet.

ANGELA HOPE
Angela Hope lives in Leitrim, which is where she makes her divine cushions, bags, and hottie covers. Colour, texture and their contrasts are what make her work special. The Bay Tree was the first outlet in N.Ireland to stock her work, but she now sells world wide. The heart-shaped cushions in red or mauve mohair are plump and fun, but sophisticated too. The bags, in tweeds and mohairs, sometimes with fringes, are contemporary in shape, and very desirable.

DIANE MCCORMICK
Diane McCormick makes totally original ceramic pieces that range from teapots to lampshades. She often uses a lustre glaze which is exciting, but equally she can employ a delicate touch as with her blue and white work. She is a true ceramic artist, endlessly creative and inventive. Look out for her clocks and vases in particular.
